American Red Cross

Located in Newark, the East Central Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross provides disaster relief, blood services, and emergency preparedness education to residents across multiple counties. They also support military families and offer health and safety training.

Boys & Girls Club of Newark

This clubhouse offers Newark youth a safe and engaging space after school and during the summer. Programs include academic support, arts, and recreational activities.

Canal Market District

In downtown Newark, the Canal Market District hosts weekly farmers markets from May to October at the historic Ohio Canal open-air pavilion, and an indoor winter market from November to April at the historic Newark Arcade. The market has local produce and artisan goods.

Food Pantry Network of Licking County

The Food Pantry Network coordinates the collection and distribution of emergency food supplies. They provide immediate food assistance to those in need.

Hope Valley

Hope Valley is a wellness retreat center that offers programs such as peer-to-peer support groups, youth camps, mentoring, and other events to help overcome life's challenges.

Licking County Coalition of Care

A faith-based organization that assists individuals in crisis by connecting them with resources to meet their basic needs. These services could include help with rent, utilities, transportation, and medical expenses.

Licking County Coalition for Housing

Dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness, this coalition offers transitional housing, rapid rehousing, and supportive services for veterans and individuals recently released from incarceration. 

Licking County Job & Family Services

Look Up Center

The Look Up Center is a faith-based community center offering various programs such as free dental and vision clinics, an opportunity store, and after-school programs for children.

Mental Health and Recovery for Licking-Knox

The Salvation Army Newark Corps

Camp O'Bannon

Camp O'Bannon is a summer camp for Licking County youth aged 9-15, referred by schools or social services. The camp promotes socialization through outdoor activities and team-building exercises. 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking and Perry Counties

This mentorship organization pairs youth with adult volunteers to foster supportive relationships that build confidence.

Fostering Further

Fostering Further supports foster youth and families by providing transitional housing and mentorship.

GROW Licking County CIC

GROW helps businesses expand or relocate in Licking County by offering site selection assistance and more.

Licking Metropolitan Housing Authority

LMHA provides affordable housing options, including public housing and housing choice vouchers.

Kingdom Pillars Strong Tower

The Kingdom Pillars Strong Tower is a faith-based nonprofit supporting young women who have aged out of foster care or survived human trafficking. Strong Tower provides  

Mental Health America of Licking County

MHALC promotes mental wellness through education, prevention, and advocacy. They offer support groups, youth programs, mental health screenings, and community outreach. 

Licking County Farm Bureau

The farm bureau offers educational programs and connects members to resources that support local food systems.

OhioCAN Change Addiction Now/Newark Homeless Outreach

OhioCAN provides hot meals, hygiene supplies, clothing, and harm reduction resources every Saturday in Newark.
